REDIAUTO SPORT SYSTEM
RediAuto Sport hand controls can be installed both on automatic and manual transmission vehicles.

Using RediAuto Sport Hand Controls
At first glance you might think the RediAuto Sport hand controls would be difficult to use. Nothing could be further from the truth. While they are like nothing else sold in the country, they are very easy to use and extremely well made. The system consists of three major components. An (1) accelerator ring, a (2) hand brake, and a (3) clutch control. The system is engineered to work together. Learning to operate it usually takes about an hour of use.

Accelerating
The accelerator ring is operated simply by pulling on it with your fingertips. This allows you to control your speed while keeping both hands on the wheel. When you need to remove a hand from the wheel to shift, brake, or light a cigarette, you still keep one hand on the wheel, controlling your speed and steering. This is a very safe way to control the car.

Braking
The hand brake is on the right. This is the only location where it can be safely mounted. It is important to keep one hand on the steering wheel at all times, so the brake is located on the same side as the gear shift lever. This allows you to keep your left hand on the steering wheel and accelerator, while shifting and braking with your right. The hand brake is equipped with a ratchetting lock.

Shifting
The clutch control is an aluminum lever on the front of the knob. Grip the knob as you normally would to shift and use your fingers to depress the lever. As you move the lever the clutch pedal moves with it. Move the lever a little and the pedal moves a little. Press it all the way down and the pedal will go to the floor. Let go and the pedal returns. This is very analogous to using your foot on the pedal. A red button on the gear shift knob is provided to place the clutch on “hold.

Starting the Car
With a six speed the clutch must be depressed before starting the car. Depress the clutch lever until the pedal is all the way down, and while holding it down press the red button on the gearshift knob. Release the lever. Now the brake and clutch are in the depressed position. Turn the ignition key and start the car.

Using the Car
Now you can drive the car as you would any stick shift car. Take control of the road, you know you want to.

Automatic Features
Panic stops: A micro switch on the brake pedal senses panic stops. When this occurs, it automatically depresses the clutch and cuts out the accelerator, eliminating stalls.
Hills: Stopping on a hill would normally be a three handed operation, but the system will automatically add gas and let out the clutch as you begin to release the brake. This means that you can keep one hand on the wheel/gas and one on the brake when leaving a stop. As the clutch engages it becomes safe for you to fully release the brake and move forward.
